Worship

"Come, let us worship and bow down,

Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker." Psalm 95:6

We take Scripture's commands to worship God seriously. Everything we do in our worship service, whether it is singing, praying, or studying the Bible, is done as an act of worship.

Musically, we blend the best of traditional hymns and contemporary worship songs. Here are some ways you can be involved:

• Worship Team: The worship team helps lead in worship as we sing God's praises. Members of the worship team must have a growing walk with Christ and good voices (a dash of flexibility helps as well). The worship team practices Saturday mornings at 9am and sings in each worship service.

• Choir: The SMBC Choir meetson the first and third Wednesdays of each month. If you are a growing Christian who can carry a tune, we'd love to have you. Contact Tim at the church office.

• Solos and musical specials: These are offered to the Lord as acts of worship by those who are especially gifted.
