Our Missionaries

Signal Mountain Bible Church currently supports the following missionaries and missions organizations:

Ken & Gwen Baker, SIM, PO Box 7900, Charlotte, NC 28241
Ken and Gwen have completed more than 20 yearsof church planting and discipleship in Côte d'Ivoire and Niger. Now at SIM headquarters in Charlotte, they direct the Culture ConneXions, coaching churches to respond to the growing diversification of American society and ethnic outreach ministries.

Shane & Alicia, Church Planters in Asia

Shane and Alicia are currently raising support to go to their mission field in September, 2008.

Tim and Janet Roberts, New Tribes Mission, 10101 Dellwood Dr.; El Paso, TX 79924
The Roberts live in Rocoroyvo, a village in the mountains of northern Mexico. They minister in Bible translation and church planting.

The Sandbergs minister in discipleship and teaching in Riga, Latvia.

George & Nita Suong, P.O. Box 163, Chiang Mai 50000 Thailand
George is the Associate Director of Personnel for the Southeast Asia Bible Translation Center. Nita teaches medical English courses for nursing students at the local university as well as coaches/teaches birthing classes for expectant parents. The Suongs have 6 children. .

Jim & Judy Sutherland, Reconciliation Ministry Network, 5608 Bradford Avenue; Chattanooga, TN 37409
The Sutherland’s encourage global missions among African-American churches.

Dan & Mary Vogt, SIM, Malawi

Dan and Mary are our newest missionaries, and are currently raising support to go to Malawi in 2009. Their focus will be on ministry to AIDS victims and to children.

The Downers minister in evangelism and discipleship, with special focus on men’s and family issues. A new and growing area of the ministry is to the military.

Dave & Christy Haskins, Young Life, 505 James Blvd.; Signal Mountain, TN 37377
Dave is the Area Director of Young Life, introducing kids to Christ at high schools and middle schools all around the area.

Bethany Christian Services, a pro-life, Christian adoption and family services agency.

Bible in the Schools, an organization that gives every public school student in Hamilton County the opportunity to learn about the Bible.

Cedine Ministries, offering Bible-based retreat and conference programs with a special focus on the African-American community.

Chattanooga Youth Network helps youth leaders be connected and equipped in effective youth ministry so that the next generation can see the greatness of God.

Child Evangelism Fellowship, the world’s largest mission agency ministering to children.

Messianic Ministry to Israel, proclaiming salvation to the Jews first, and also to the Gentile.
