How can I develop stronger relationships in the church? Where can I go to grow in my faith and study God’s word? Who can I turn to in a crisis? Discipleship Groups are small groups which meet in homes during the week. They are intended to promote Christian discipleship and growth (Matthew 28:19, Ephesians 4:11- 16). They are the heart of ministry at SMBC, a place where we come together for fellowship, prayer, and application of God's Word to our lives. They provide our primary forum for "one anothering," meeting one another's needs. What groups are offered? Crown Financial Ministries groups provide a Biblical foundation for our stewardship as well as hands-on help in setting budgets, retirement plans, etc. Growth Groups meet for prayer, fellowship, and discussion focused on applying Scripture. Growth Groups meet through the year, but take breaks over the holidays and for the summer.   The Truth Project is a DVD-based based study which features extensive discussion on the importance of understanding and living a biblical worldview.
